With over 60 yachts delivered and over 65 awards won, Perini Navi is the leading shipyard in the construction of sailing yachts over 50M/164’. The yard was founded in 1983 in Viareggio, Italy, and became the flagship brand of The Italian Sea Group in 2022.
Perini Navi began in 1983 when passionate sailor and mechanical engineer Fabio Perini launched a prototype sailing yacht designed to be sailed with reduced crew and maximise living spaces. Perini Navi became a leading name in bluewater cruisers, conceived a revolutionary automatic system for managing sail plans of this size, and acquired motor yacht shipyard Picchiotti in 1989. Today, as part of The Italian Sea Group founded by Giovanni Costantino, Perini Navi remains fully dedicated to constructing semi-custom and custom sailing yachts, counting in its fleet some of the most groundbreaking sailing yachts ever built.

As well as full-custom yachts, Perini Navi offers a fleet of semi-custom sailing yachts available to build. The new fleet was unveiled in Marhc 2024, one year after Perini Navi’s acquisition by The Italian Sea Group.
Perini Navi 48m (157’)
Offered in regatta and cruise versions, this model features an open stern with a transformer and enhanced stability at anchor. Sail systems are managed via two consoles for safe control without requiring specialised crew. The deckhouse retains Perini’s signature features, including a side epaulette and enclosed aft cockpit, while restyling the design. In addition, new hull lines will offer limited heeling angles, double rudders and a movable centreboard for reduced draft.
Perini Navi 56m (183’)
Known as the shipyard’s most iconic sailing yacht, the new 56m will be restyled in collaboration with Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design, focusing on sailing performance and enhancing the naval platform and sail system. A new sail plan with carbon masts uses Perini’s sail handling system with concentrated and power-assisted sail rigging control in the two command stations on the flybridge.
Perini Navi 77m
The 77m (252’) is the platform for the Falcon Rig, seen for the first time on the iconic MALTESE FALCON. This system enables the square sail to be combined with the triangular sail, matching efficiency with elegance. Two masts enhance navigation and safety and an electro-hydraulic mast-sail management system is installed. This yacht is the yard’s first to offer a spa-beach club with lowering terraces.
Custom-built ARTEXPLORER (47M/154’), available for charter with Fraser, is a revolutionary vessel as the world's largest aluminium sailing catamaran. Her 17M/56’ beam offers an expansive main deck and her sustainable credentials include a 65M² solar panel capable of generating up to 200 kilowatts of energy per day, lithium batteries and state-of-the-art exhaust filters.
88M/288’ MALTESE FALCON remains one of the most iconic vessels on the water. Launched in 2006, her unique features on this three-masted, 18-award-winner include a three-deck atrium, one of the largest outdoor cinemas on the water, a sail plan over 2,400sqm which can be set in 6 minutes
The only Italian builder to construct sailing yachts in the larger size segment, Perini Navi also has the advantage of being part of a larger group ready to invest in innovation and new technologies, and to push the boundaries of design.
