Valentino Montesi joined Fraser as Project Surveyor in 2025.
With Italian and German nationalities, Valentino began his maritime career at 18 as a deckhand on 20–30M yachts, rising to the position of deck engineer and then chief engineer on a 50M yacht, managing all engineering operations, maintenance and navigation, and building extensive experience in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.
He further developed his skills as Shipyard Captain in Ancona and Project Manager at The Italian Sea Group (Marina di Carrara), leading refit projects, including mechanical upgrades, yacht repaints, deck work and a yacht extension from 45M to 50M.
Most recently, Valentino worked as Chief Engineer on a 47M yacht in Pesaro and Antibes, overseeing all systems, tenders and maintenance.
Alongside his professional background, he holds key certifications including AEC 1 & 2, IMO Basic Training and GMDSS ROC.
He is fluent in Italian, German, English and speaks basic Spanish.
