Matthew has bought and sold over 140 million EUR worth of new build yachts, as well as over 30 million EUR of pre-owned yachts and 70 million EUR in refits, in a yachting career spanning 20 years so far.
As Director of Sales then Commercial Vice President for the renowned Baltic Yachts shipyard, he specialised in sailing yachts in general, with a particular focus on custom and cruising racing yachts in the 20M–55M/65-180’ size sector. Among his many new build sales are Baltic 117 PERSEVERANCE (35.8M), Baltic 110 ZEMI (33.5M), Baltic 107 CATAMARAN (33M), Baltic 121 custom (37M) and Baltic 68 Café Racer 04 (20.7M). Matthew also worked on numerous refit deals including 175 RAVENGER (54M, originally PINK GIN VI), Nautor Swan 100 ONYX (30.2M) and Nautor Swan 115 JASI (35.1M).
Having worked at two shipyards, Baltic Yachts and Nautor Swan, at every level from the production floor, lamination and carpentry to working with complex system installation, before traveling the world for over 8 years a yacht service technician, Matthew offers clients an unrivaled technical knowledge of sailing yachts.
With 20% of his business coming from repeat clients, he is trusted by clients worldwide for his detailed technical understanding of yachts and what goes into building them, as well as what keeps them working in top condition year after year. Clients also come to Matthew for his insight on realistic service costs and times and ability to budget for repairs or improvements fast.
A highly active sailor, Matthew has raced on numerous superyachts and Maxi yachts and currently holds the Aegean 600 Mono hull course record. He also won the Maxi Rolex World Championship in 2024.
