Richard Williams

UK-born Richard brings extensive knowledge to the Fraser Yacht Management team, including significant experience as ISM and ISPS Manager & DPA.

Following his studies in Marine Technology, Richardbegan his career at Lloyds Register as Technical Assistant, working with bulk carriers and gaining solid knowledge on classification procedures. Shortly afterwards, he joined the fleet commercial agent company Fleet Support Ltd, acting as Hull Survey and Load Testing Manager, in charge of a team of 16 surveyors. In this role, he was responsible for the tendering, planning and execution phases of refit projects, liaising with external customers and internal production staff to deliver projects.

Richard worked for over 10 years at the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency in Southampton, reaching the position of Principal Marine Consultant Surveyor. In 2015, he decided to move with his family to the South of France and joined a yacht brokerage as ISM and ISPS Manager & DPA. He created and developed their ISM procedures for yachts up to 140m while supervising fleet management and crew coordination activities.
