Penny Parrot is one of the most experienced yacht brokers in the business - with knowledge built from a highly successful and gratifying yachting career. Penny was raised in Westport, Connecticut and spent her early years sailing on Long Island Sound. Later she joined the established design firm of John G. Alden Yachts in Stamford, Connecticut as a yacht broker and became one of only three women brokers in the yachting industry at the time. In 1968, Penny purchased the classic 72' Alden yawl, Royono, and spent the next 4 years cruising and living aboard the yacht in New England and the Caribbean.

In 1972 Penny and her family moved ashore in Florida and she resumed her career as a full time yacht broker by opening an office for Alden in Fort Lauderdale. Penny's philosophy as a broker has always been to provide clients with a vessel of the highest pedigree and quality. Her clients have always been loyal to her and come mostly from referrals. This has been proven in the sales of many major vessels, both power and sail, up to 190' in length. However, she loves the creativity and challenge of new construction projects. Her most recent undertaking in this area was a recently delivered 240’ Perini Navi Motor Yacht new construction project.

Pursuing her love of sail, she and her husband purchased a 50' custom sloop and cruised New England and the Bahamas for 14 years until the vessel was eventually sold. Not capable of being "yachtless" she purchased and completely restored a classic 40' Hinckley and a 58' custom Alden designed yawl with the intent to cruise the Pacific .

On the personal side, Penny is married to David Parrot, President and founder of Titan Maritime, a worldwide Marine Salvage Company and has four children (and a large, exuberant Portuguese Water Dog). She enjoys sailing, skiing, long-distance swimming, backpacking, photography and redesigning and restoring classic homes and yachts.
