With a notable career spanning 17 years, John Jacobi has established a reputation as a prominent yacht broker in the industry. His contributions to prestigious yacht brokerages and his success as an entrepreneur –establishing a successful yacht chandlery business and then selling it to a leading competitor – underscore his accomplished repute.
John's career in yachting was a natural progression from a background steeped in luxury sales and marketing. His initial foray began in 2003 within the luxury space of private aviation, where he was a pilot, broker, and manager. In 2007 he made the full-time transition into the world of yacht sales.
John's unique edge comes from his specialization in Italian built motor yachts. He possesses a deep understanding of boat systems, honed through experiences working with various shipyards on new build projects. However, it's not just his technical acumen that sets him apart; it's his client-centric philosophy. John’s philosophy centers around fostering trust and ensuring client satisfaction by providing honest and genuine guidance.
Over the course of his career, John has facilitated transactions that collectively exceed $200 million. Among some of his most notable sales are yachts REBECA (sold 4 times), BALISTA, TAIL LIGHTS, NITA K, and GLADIUS. Having sold a plethora of yachts from builders such as Benetti, Azimut, Cantieri di Pisa, Delta Marine, Ferretti, Dominator, Couach, Princess, Sunseeker, Hargrave, Horizon, Hatteras, and Chris-Craft, John boasts a diverse portfolio of yacht sales specifically within the 30 to 50-meter market.
As a former professional pilot, in his spare time John flies for fun with his family all over the U.S & Bahamas on a Twin Cessna. John also enjoys shooting sports, all types of fishing, and in the winter, he loves to snow ski whenever he gets the chance.
