Melanie Burke

Melanie Burke was named IYBA's Charter Professional of the Year for 2020.

Melanie was raised near Chicago, but the sun, sand and ocean beckoned her to South Florida in the late 70’s, and she never looked back. Her yachting career began in 1987 in South Florida after falling in love with cruising the islands of the Bahamas on her summers off from college.

Over the past 30 years she has enjoyed everything yachting. She has sailed the ocean competitively and for fun, crewed on charter yachts, managed yachts and marinas, and was a central agent for a fleet of luxury charter yachts based in Florida and the Bahamas. Since the mid-90’s Melanie turned her attention and experience in yachting to focus exclusively on arranging luxury yacht charter vacations worldwide.

Having hands on experience in nearly every aspect of luxury yacht chartering has helped her to understand the key elements vital for a magnificent yacht charter experience for you and your family. A discerning eye for details has helped her gain the trust of her clients and earn their repeat charter bookings. She loves to help make her clients dreams come true.

Being a hawk for excellence she diligently attends charter yacht shows around the world to inspect the yachts and interview captains and crews to offer only the finest options for her clients. Melanie is an active member of the Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association (MYBA), the International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA), and the Charter Yacht Brokers Association (CYBA). She also sits on the Retail Yacht Charter Committee for IYBA and is a past board member with CYBA.
