Richard Earp Award for outstanding fair, ethical and transparent professional client service in yachting.
Vassilis joined Fraser in 2007 and was trained and mentored as a Broker by the man whose name the Award honours. Having previously been Commercial Director overseeing the sales and charter operations for Fraser in Europe, Asia and Oceania, after two years he returned to the role of sales broker.
Vassilis has successfully concluded over €210 million worth of yacht sales averaging 40m (131’) in length, built by no less than 14 different yards and ranging from 24m (79’) to 60m (197’).
Having bought and sold yachts for clients of 11 different nationalities including prominent yachtsmen, financial institutions and shipyards, he is a highly trusted industry figure. Around 40% of his transactions are for repeat clients and he has represented both the Buyer and Seller in several sales.
Born in Athens, Greece, Vassilis attended Gordonstoun school in Scotland before obtaining a BSc Honours at Stirling University. Following military duties in the Hellenic Navy, he gained an MSc in Sports and Leisure Management from Loughborough University.
Vassilis spearheaded the opening of Fraser’s Athens office in 2022, where he heads up the team providing additional personal support and care for existing and future Fraser clients based in Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean. He was also instrumental in Fraser’s acquisition of a majority interest in renowned Greek yacht management company, Atalanta Golden Yachts (AGY) in 2023.
