The Singapore Yacht Show 2016
Fraser Yachts is currently displaying a strong selection of superyachts for sale at the on-water Singapore Yacht Show 2016, which is running until 10th April. Now in full swing, the event is reminding the international yachting community just how dynamic and exciting the Asia-Pacific market is. After all, this is the region that offers such spectacular sailing destinations as the clear, turquoise waters of Thailand, the exotic splendor of Bali, and the remote, untouched beauty that can be experienced on a Tioman Islands yacht charter.
Yet yachting in Asia-Pacific is not solely focused on charter: the last decade has seen a discernible rise in yacht ownership and new construction in the Asia-Pacific market, which is celebrated each April during the region’s flagship yachting event, the Singapore Yacht Show. Exhibitors, industry professionals and visitors from around the globe have excitedly descended upon the luxurious ONE°15 Marina Club. Promising to be a resounding success, the Singapore Yacht Show 2016 offers a way to uncover and explore new opportunities in this exciting market, while showcasing an array of innovative products and luxury services. This year - along with international yacht brokerages - aviation companies, caviar houses, five star resorts and diamond brokers are in attendance. Over 50 superyachts for sale and charter, up to 56m in length, are on display at the show, with Sentosa Bay and Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay Sands Hotel as a backdrop. As the world’s leading luxury brokerage firm, with offices in Singapore, Fraser Yachts is well represented at the event with three superyachts featured: M/Y TRIPLE 8, a 43.40m Royal Denship yacht for sale, built in 2009; M/Y AZUL A, a 34m Moonen Yacht, built in 1997 and refitted in 2014; and the 49.54m M/Y SENSATION, launched in 2007 at New Zealand’s Sensation Yachts and refitted in 2014. Fraser Yachts was delighted to welcome the organizers of the show and members of the media on board stunning M/Y SENSATION for the pre-show press conference.
The Singapore Yacht Show is renowned for its busy social itinerary and 2016 will be no exception to the trend. Along with evenings spent hopping between a selection of glamorous parties, this year’s show also offers a host of conferences and talks to encourage productive discussion and networking between industry professionals and authorities, including the Asia Pacific Yachting Conference and the Asia Boating Forum. The highlight will be the black-tie Gala Dinner at the luxurious W Singapore – Sentosa Cove, which will treat yacht owners, builders and brokers to an unforgettable evening of cabaret entertainment in a rather special setting.
