St barths bucket 2025 recap

The 2025 St Barths Bucket brought together a community of passionate sailors, including Owners of some of the most powerful sailing yachts in the world, professional sailing Captains and crew, sailing yacht Brokers and shipyard figures, for spectacular regatta racing and socializing on the Caribbean’s most refined island. Light airs of 10-12 knots meant calmer conditions than normal.

Fraser Sales Brokers Tim Langmead, Georges Bourgoignie and Matthew Lester and Fraser Charter Specialist Helen Skourti attended the regatta with various yachts.
Tim raced on board 55M/182’ Pendennis Schooner ADELA for the second year running, part of a 42-strong racing crew joining the Owner and his family on board. “I’ve been sailing all my life, but every day on board ADELA taught me new things about sailing,” said Tim of his experience as part of the yacht’s competitive race crew. The team on board included various racing professionals, four bowmen, local navigation experts and specialists from Dykstra and Pendennis. ADELA finished 2nd in overall in CLASS C: Les Elegantes.
Matthew sailed as Crew Boss on the 27.4M/90’ YYachts PREVAIL, with an Owner and friends he has known for quite some time. Competing in the second regatta ever for the yacht, she placed 3rd overall in CLASS D: Les Petites Dames.
Georges welcomed clients and Brokers on board 41M/133’ ZEXPLORER, for sale and charter with Fraser. On one of the event days, Georges was invited aboard the 105M/344' Oceanco BLACK PEARL to view the bucket and see this titan Dykstra designed, DynaRig fitted sailing yacht in action. "Suffice to say that this was an amazing highlight," said Georges. "Additional comments about this year in St Barths focus on the very prestigious new sponsors for this event, including notable motor yacht shipyards who seem to have all figured out the sailing large yachts in St. Barths are in fact very cool!"
Helen raced on board 56M/184’ Perini Navi BURRASCA, for charter with Fraser Greece. This marked BURRASCA’s first major participation in a regatta of this scale, following her debut in two local races in Greece last year, sporting her brand-new sails. "The experience was truly remarkable. Although wind conditions weren’t particularly favorable, BURRASCA consistently had strong starts throughout each day of the race. While the absence of a spinnaker did place her at a slight disadvantage, we are proud to say she made a memorable impression at this year’s Bucket," said Helen. The yacht’s Owner confidently took the helm throughout the event, supported by expert navigator Wouter Verbraak and Olympic sailors Takis Mantis (an Olympic medalist), Michalis Mileos (a world champion), and Manos Pasamihalis. Helen added: "Every day we managed to extract more performance from the boat, and we are in position to know what changes we need to make for the future." BURRASCA placed 3rd overall in CLASS G: Les Grande Dames.
