Monaco Yacht Show 2012
If there is one must-do event in the world of super yachts, it is Monaco Yacht Show. The European season’s most glamorous yacht show is on us again. Starting on September 19th and set in the heart of Monaco, the Monaco Yacht Show is home to the biggest and best in the world of superyachting. Whether you are just sightseeing, or are looking for a superyacht for sale, the Monaco Yacht Show is one of the most exciting events in the south of France this summer. As the world’s most respected superyacht broker, Fraser Yachts will be bringing along several stunning superyachts for sale and charter.
Fraser Yachts is also bringing several superyachts for sale, notably the 59m (193’) M/Y Idol. Built in in 2007 and refitted in 2011, M/Y Idol boasts room for 14 guests, with opulent and spacious living areas. On board activities include basketball, table football and luxuriating in the large Jacuzzi. Equipment includes a high speed tender, jet skis and kayaks for watersport fun and there is even a helipad for excursions further afield and convenient transfers. With a cruising speed of 14 knots, stabilizers and a long range, M/Y Idol is a very comfortable and versatile superyacht. Her asking price is €32,000,000. Another superyacht for sale that Fraser Yachts is bringing to Monaco is the stunning M/Y Satori. This multi-award winning luxury yacht is outstanding; her Remi Tessier interiors are effortlessly elegant and the build quality, by Heesen, is second to none. At 49.80m (163'05"), M/Y Satori is in the big league and with her semi-displacement hull can easily cruise at 20 knots. Range is 4,375 nautical miles and she sleeps 10 guests in supreme comfort. She is currently on offer for €36,000,000. Another of the stars at Monaco will be the 42m (140’) Feadship M/Y Andiamo. M/Y Andiamo is being offered at €19,500,000. At 73m (240’), the Donald Starkey designed M/Y Laurel is a mega yacht in every sense of the word. Seven staterooms can accommodate up to 17 guests and there are no less than 11 cabins to house all the crew necessary for the exceptional levels of service that M/Y Laurel offers. The equipment is equally luxurious, with a fully-equipped on-board gym, a massage suite to ease tired muscles, a large Jacuzzi and even an elevator to make getting around on board more convenient. Each of the seven staterooms is luxuriously appointed and amazingly spacious, and they all have a large ensuite. The living areas are too numerous to list and contribute to the general feel of space and well-being that such a large yacht offers. The full complement of tenders and water sports toys is housed in a large garage with hydraulic gantries allowing quick and easy deployment of all the equipment. M/Y Laurel is offered for sale at €64,393,000 and for charter at €497,000 a week during the summer Mediterranean season and €390,000 a week during the winter season in the Bahamas. Fraser Yachts is also bringing the Dubois-designed M/Y Turquoise, a 55m (182’) superyacht built in 2010 by Proteksan in Turkey.
Her sleek modern lines belie her size, and she can accommodate 12 guests in six large staterooms. The master suite is especially luxurious and occupies the full width of the yacht and boasts an adjoining office. Her elegant, modern interior is by Hoek Design Naval Architects, and is a beguiling blend of clean lines and beautiful materials. M/Y Turquoise’s living areas are perfectly appointed for effortless entertaining, with the 14 crew members taking care of your every wish. There is a Jacuzzi/ wading pool that is large enough for a floating mattress and there is an entertainment salon with a gaming table and piano, as well as a full complement of watersports toys and dive equipment in the well-equipped lazarette. M/Y Turquoise is offered for sale at €57,500,000 and charter for €315,574 a week, summering in the Med and spending the winter in the Bahamas. Also at the show will be the Benetti-built 37m (120’) M/Y Kai. Built in 2008 and refitted in 2012, this classic Benetti yacht can sleep 10 guests in five cabins. She features the well-respected naval architecture of Stefano Righini and interior design by Frans Zuretti.
