Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta 2017
An annual event since 2008, the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta, taking place in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, is one of the markers of the summer season in the Mediterranean. An exciting racing event lasting five days, some of the world's best luxury sailing yachts compete to win.
The event is organised in partnership between the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and Boat International Media and takes place from 30th May to 3rd June. The first day is for registration and briefings, followed by four days of intense racing with social events and prize givings in between.
All the yachts that take part are excellent, high performance, luxury sailing yachts and what makes the event so exhilarating is the fact that outside factors such as weather and wind can play a part in the outcomes of the races and the results are never easily predictable.
Fraser is proud that Fitzroy sailing yacht OHANA, of the charter fleet, has competed in the past at the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta and has an impressive history at the event, having collected the trophy for third place in Sub Class C at 2016's event.
