Just Two Weeks to go Until the Monaco Yacht Show
The excitement is almost tangible in Monaco this week as the final preparations are made to the Monaco Yacht Show, which will open its’ doors in just two weeks’ time.
The world’s premier yachting exhibition featuring more than 100 of the most stunning boats on the planet will open in Port Hercules to the backdrop of the grandiose Prince’s Palace on September 25th. And Fraser Yachts will be very much present at the show this year, with more than seven luxury yachts for sale and charter on display including S/Y Kokomo, a 58.4 metre sailing yacht which won the ShowBoats Design Award in 2011 for her naval architecture.
Another luxury yacht for sale which will be on display at this year’s event staged a stone’s throw from our Monaco office, is M/Y Morning Star, a 30.4 metre Ferretti Custom Line yacht. The Monaco Yacht Show, which will this year celebrate its 23rd anniversary, has become the most anticipated occasion in the yachting world and is attended by more than 30,000 people every year. In fact last year, the Monaco Yacht Show broke all records with more than 33,000 attendees descending on the principality to marvel at the 105 superyachts and megayachts exhibited. There were also more than 500 major companies lined up along the picturesque port to provide information on the latest luxury yachting services and high technology nautical products. Organisers hope that this year even more people will attend the four-day show, which is to be preceded for the first time ever by a yacht industry summit. The Monaco Yacht Summit will be held on Tuesday September 24th in the Grimaldi Forum, with an aim to provide the yachting world with an annual forum in which to address issues of importance to yacht owners, buyers and brokers like Fraser Yachts. Managing director of the Monaco Yacht Show Gaëlle Tallarida said: “Throughout 23 editions the Monaco Yacht Show has offered yacht owners, buyers and enthusiasts the very best that the world's boat builders, brokers and yachting professionals have to offer, in the unique setting of the Principality of Monaco and in a professional but festive atmosphere. “In 2012 we opened the Upper Deck Lounge – 650m² of lounge areas with bar and restaurant, right inside the Yacht Show area. Now we are happy to announce the first Monaco Yacht Summit, the next step in expanding our mission to empower all involved in yachting to meet, talk and share experiences.”
