Fraser Yachts at the Palma Superyacht Show 2016
The historic city of Palma will soon be welcoming returning yachts from their winter sojourn in the Caribbean for the Palma Superyacht Show 2016. This year’s edition is being held from April 28th to May 2nd in the beautiful Spanish marina and is sure to mark the commencement of the Mediterranean yacht show season in earnest.
The world’s leading luxury brokerage, Fraser Yachts, is delighted to have a selection of superyachts for sale and charter attending this year’s event, including S/Y VICTORIA, S/Y PINK GIN, S/Y MYSTERY, M/Y TAKE 5, and S/Y KEANIMAI for sale and M/Y AURELIA for charter. The Palma Superyacht Show annually attracts high profile exhibitors and guests from all over the world.
It is with eager anticipation that Fraser Yachts looks ahead to the Palma Superyacht Show, which showcases yachts over 24 metres. Organised by the Balearic Yacht Broker’s Association in partnership with MYBA, the worldwide yachting association, the event will run concurrently with the Boat Show Palma 2016. Now in its fourth year, it has established itself as a key event on the yachting calendar. Last year, more than 36,000 people visited the show and organisers expect an increase in visitors for the upcoming edition. With a ratio of sailing yachts to motor yachts that skews in favour of the former, the Palma Superyacht Show is unique on the Mediterranean yacht show calendar.
The show serves as a platform for yachting professionals to network in a relaxed setting, before the summer season gets underway. In addition to the 60+ yachts that will be on display, the show will feature a full schedule of events to suit all tastes. The International Institute of Marine Surveying Conference will draw big crowds, as will the more leisurely attractions of a fun fair and evening drinks. There will be industry demonstrations and cocktail parties, providing the perfect arena for captains, crew, brokers, exhibitors and enthusiasts to socialise and make new contacts.
Given the May 1st bank holiday, the propitious timing of the event allows both local and international visitors the chance to explore the stunning destination over a long weekend. The picturesque old town, home to Palma’s Gothic cathedral, will provide a spectacular backdrop for the event.
