Fraser Yachts Announce the Sale of Superyacht ANDIAMO
With sales remaining steady since the start of the year, and continuing into March, often regarded as one of the quietest months of the year in superyacht sales, those within the industry are optimistic of the continued improvement in the yachting industry.
Yacht marketing expert, Peter Insull was quoted as saying. “We live, work and play in the rarefied world of superyachts.” With regards to sales figures in the superyacht industry he responded, "Sales completed recently are quite positive for what is often regarded as a quiet month. Analytical reports come at us from many directions and you can read what you wish into them; is the glass half full or half empty? For example, for yachts over 45m, during 2011, 84 superyachts came on to the market and 53 sold, while in 2012, 87 superyachts came on to the market and 50 sold; all in all, not too bad. Half full is my way of thinking.” Last week saw the sale of three luxury yachts for sale, the largest of which was the 42.56m Feadship explorer yacht, ANDIAMO, brokered by our very own Dennis Frederiksen of Fraser Yachts. The other two yachts sold were BEYOND THE CLOUDS, a Benetti yacht and LEONARDO II, built by Azimut. A true explorer vessel the ANDIAMO was built with an ice strengthened hull with all equipment needed for long distance cruising, including extensive storage and rugged but comfortable tenders. In contrast to her explorer style exterior she has a refined interior designed by Glade Johnson. Built in 2003 and refitted as recently as 2011 she has a natural cruising speed of 11.5 knots and can comfortably accommodate 10 guests and 8 crewmembers. Fraser Yachts was delighted to announce the sale of this excellent vessel and confirm that she was sold at her asking price of €19,500,000.
