Raphael Sauleau named LYBRA President
We are delighted to announce that Fraser CEO Raphael Sauleau was elected president of the Large Yacht Brokers Association (LYBRA), on Thursday 12th July 2018 in Monaco.
Elections are held every three years, and the new board is composed of the following members: President – Raphael Sauleau, CEO of Fraser; Vice President – Stefanos Macrymichalos, CEO of IYC; Treasurer – Jonathan Beckett, CEO of Burgess and Secretary – Eric Blair and Board Member – Nicholas Edmiston, Chairman of Edmiston.
Raphael Sauleau, CEO of Fraser, commented “I am honoured to take over from Jonathan Beckett as President of LYBRA and lead, together with our newly elected board, the association for the next three years. Our association currently includes the nine largest brokerage houses in the yachting industry and our aim is to handle issues which may affect the industry together with other associations such as MYBA. Furthermore, it is our responsibility to act as ambassadors of the yachting industry, working with all stakeholders to reach out to the non-yachting world. Finally, we look forward to seeing additional projects take shape.”
The members of LYBRA have ambitious future plans to promote the global yachting industry and changing people’s perception of it. The association will be looking at actions which will continue to drive change and improvement as well as support the long-term development of the industry. This includes a second edition of The Superyacht Show planned in Barcelona in 2019. Inaugurated in 2018, The Superyacht Show is one of several ways in which LYBRA aims to be a positive driver of change and improvements in the global yachting industry.
A founding member of LYBRA, Fraser is the world’s leading, full-service yachting company and its brokers and staff are universally acknowledged to be the unrivalled experts in luxury yacht services.
