Fraser Celebrates 70th Anniversary
2017 sees the leading superyacht brokerage, Fraser, celebrate its 70th anniversary. Originally founded in 1947 by David Fraser in Newport Beach, the company has since grown to become the world’s leading superyacht services company, offering brokerage, charter, management, new construction and crew services to clients around the world.
Founded on David’s passion for sailing and talent for selling, combined with his always fair and ethical approach, the company still holds these attributes at the core of its business today and is part of the reason for its continued success. The latest figures show that in 2016 Fraser once again closed more brokerage deals than any other brokerage, for the sixth year in a row. The company also welcomed several substantial new additions to its new construction and yacht management fleet and continued to book a record breaking number of superyacht charters.
The 70th anniversary celebrations started earlier this year with the launch of the brand new Charter Portfolio. Completely redesigned for this celebratory issue, the large coffee table book features 100 of the best superyachts for charter around the world and the most exquisite destinations to visit.
This week will see the roll out of the company’s updated brand image across all other materials and the launch of the new Fraser website. The brand has been evolved to reflect the luxury services that the company offers to its clients, with a simplification of the logo and the use of more luxury pastel colours. While the new website has been completely redesigned to suit the larger screens that clients now use as well as mobile devices for clients who are constantly on the go.
Commenting on the new brand image Raphael Sauleau, CEO, said “The last brand update was carried out nearly ten years ago, and we felt that it was time to review our brand and look at how we can update it to take the company forward. Following this the new design is very much an evolution of the existing brand which has always been very strong and recognisable, but now we feel that it reflects the true nature of the level of service we are offering to our clients and the future direction of the company as a luxury brand.”
Lisa Peck, the Global Marketing Manager at Fraser added “We have spent some time developing the new website, it was important for us to find the right combination of functionality and beauty. We feel that the new design successfully reflects these two core elements, and with an ever increasing importance of digital marketing we will continue to develop the site and add further functionality to it over the coming months.”
As part of its initiatives for the future Fraser has also recently announced its partnership with Plastic Oceans, a charity dedicated to educating people on how to change their daily habits in order to protect the oceans from plastic waste. Other events to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Fraser will be announced throughout the year.
