Benetti: A Shipyard Associated with Quality and Style
In Tuscany, things are built to last: from the Renaissance art that still hangs in many of Florence’s art galleries and museums to the fine wine made from the region’s vineyards, which can keep for longer than most other wines combined. Is it any surprise, then, that some of the world’s leading shipyards emerge in this corner of Italy, which is so steeped in tradition? Combining their countrymen’s natural flair for style with a passion for creating world-class yachts of the highest quality, Benetti is Tuscany’s preeminent yacht builder and the Fraser Yachts featured shipyard of the month.
Founded by Lorenzo Benetti in 1873 in the coastal city of Viareggio, the first vessels launched from the eponymous shipyard were wooden trading boats. As the twentieth century progressed, the descendants of Lorenzo Benetti turned their attention from commercial vessels to pleasure yachts and, in 1960, Benetti launched their first ‘superyacht’, the 18.50m M/Y LALIN V. Over the decades that followed, the yachts that were designed and built by Benetti demonstrated the evolution of what has become the shipyard’s discernible style; it has earned the brand a dedicated following around the world. Spacious fore and aft decks, and voluminous interiors are just some of the characteristics the shipyard is renowned for.
new build yacht construction process. Available to charter through Fraser Yachts, M/Y LATIKO is a superb example of classic Benetti style and craftsmanship. Built in 2014, this 43.50m displacement yacht, from the yard’s successful Vision series, is among the most internally voluminous yachts of her size. Chartering year-round in the Western Mediterranean, she is a wonderful yacht charter choice for families, with the capacity to accommodate 11 guests in five staterooms. In addition to the sky deck, which is complete with Jacuzzi, the yacht boasts an impressive inventory of tenders and toys, including Jetski’s, Seabobs, Seadoos, an inflatable water sports platform, snorkelling equipment and towable inflatables.
M/Y ULYSSES is a 56.00m Benetti superyacht for sale and charter with Fraser Yachts. Designed by Stefano Natucci, her distinctive black hull perfectly complements her stylish cream superstructures, embodying the high-brow sense of sophistication with which the Benetti shipyard can be associated. The vessel's interior, which was also designed by Benetti, evokes impressions of class and elegance, combining luxurious fixtures with varnished wood tones. M/Y ULYSSES can accommodate up to 12 guests in six lavish staterooms. Her special features include a Jacuzzi on the sundeck, Wi-Fi, an internal lift and stabilisers for enhanced comfort.
