Beloved Fraser Broker Ken Burden Passes Away at the Age of 86
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of long-standing and greatly respected Fraser Broker Ken Burden who passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on 4th May.
An admired, knowledgeable and exceptionally talented broker for over 50 years, Ken will be missed as much by his industry colleagues and friends as the many clients worldwide who he helped guide and support with such insight and caring for so long.
Fraser CEO Raphael Sauleau commented: Ken has been an outstanding Broker and certainly played a great part in our company's success. He will be remembered for his great spirit and kindness. Our hearts go out to his family at this time.''
Fraser Broker Stuart Larsen led the tributes and memories amongst the Fraser team, commenting: A true American Gentleman. I have known Ken for coming on 35 years. Together we did some crazy deals in Australia, all remotely. One I remember well was with a 40M Lloyds built yacht that had been seized by a bank. With the time differences between France, Ft Lauderdale and Sydney, I don't think any of us got much sleep for a month...But we did sell three 40M yachts which was quite the news back then. And then with Ken's connections to Turkey and mine to New Zealand, we also sold a 77M unfinished yacht there that is now called VICTORIOUS. Always one to share a joke, often on a daily basis with his address book of clients, one that reads like the who's who of Yachting, I know Ken yearned for his native Montana (who wouldn't?) but since it's rather barren of yachting inventory, he settled for the French Riviera and a place with the dogs he so much loved.''
