The yacht charter in the UK may not seem like the most obvious way to explore the country, but exploring this Old World gem by water gives a whole new perspective to its historical cliff-top castles, rolling green hills and bustling London nightlife.
Itinerary
day 1 CORNISH CRUISING
Board in Cornwall where you can spend the day cruising the coastline with its pretty fishing villages. Make sure you step ashore to try a traditional Cornish pasty followed by scones with clotted cream.
day 2 GARDEN OF EDEN
Spend the day touring the famous Eden Project, an eco-educational charity project that features a biome housing the world’s largest ‘rainforest in captivity’.
day 3 SAIL INTO COWES
Arrive in the Solent and cruise around the Isle of Wight. After sailing past the famous Needles, go ashore to take the breathtaking chairlift to the top of the cliff. Moor overnight in Cowes and visit the historical Royal London Yacht Club, which despite its name is actually located in Cowes.
day 4 THE OLD COUNTRY
Cross the Solent and head up the Hamble River, surrounded by unspoiled countryside the river meanders past many quaint English villages, perfect for stopping off for a traditional pub lunch.
day 5 LONDON CALLING
Arrive in London and cruise past the famous city sights before mooring in St Katherine Docks, your base for the remainder of your charter.
day 6-10 COSMOPOLITAN DELIGHTS
There is plenty to see and do in England’s capital city. Take in a show in the West End, visit the historical Tower of London, join the shoppers in the quaint streets of Covent Garden or the luxury boutiques of Chelsea and Knightsbridge, and sample one of the dozens of Michelin-starred restaurants scattered across the city, before returning to the comfort of your luxury superyacht each night.
