The Balearic Islands charter itinerary
Sun-soaked and skirted by golden sands, the Balearics are one of Europe’s prime island getaways. Perfect for a luxury yacht charter, this Mediterranean archipelago is not only awash with leafy terraces, crumbling heritage sites, secluded coves and rolling hills but also offers charterers one of Spain’s most beguiling and trendy cities in the shape of Palma de Mallorca, the hippy-chic Ibiza Town and the resort of Playa d'en Bossa, long famed as one of Europe’s prime party capitals. Both Ibiza and Mallorca offer excellent beaches, but it is the Balearic Island of Menorca that is renowned for its picture-postcard coves.
Due to Spanish legislation, yachts need a license to charter in Spain. Contact your broker to find out which ones are available.
Effortless chic
The Balearic Islands invite wellness & hedonism
Day 1 - From Palma To Puerto Andratx
Arrive in Palma and board your luxury yacht charter. First destination is Puerto Andratx, with a stopover in Portals Vells for swimming and other in-water activities. Anchor overnight in the quaint port of Puerto Andratx, known for its charming atmosphere and many good restaurants. The distance between Palma and Puerto Andratx is approx. 22 nm.
Day 2 - Es Vedra’s Island
On the second day, cruise towards Cala Portinatx, located in the North of the island of Ibiza (45 nm), an excellent cove to swim and enjoy some water sports. Later, cruise along the island’s west coast towards the city of Ibiza. Weather permitting you can anchor off in one of the coves of the Es Vedrá Island, which, according to its legend, is bestowed with mystical powers.
Day 3 - Formentera Island
Cruise towards Formentera and spend the day on this gorgeous island, complete with crisp white-sand beaches. Depending upon your preferences for activities during the day, you can either anchor off to spend the night in Formentera or cruise back to return to one of the ports of Ibiza.
Day 4 - Cabrera National Park
On the fourth day, your luxury yacht charter will depart very early in the morning, before sunrise, covering the longest distance of the itinerary (approx. 70nm) to arrive in Cabrera, a protected National Park surrounded by beautiful coves. Spend the day in Cabrera and cruise after sundown towards Porto Cristo, in Mallorca, which is approximately 30nm away from Cabrera. Another alternative would be to spend the night in Cabrera and cruise towards Porto Cristo before sunrise.
Day 5 - Caves And Music
On day five of your charter, visit the worldwide renowned “Cuevas del Drach”, caves that exhibit very strange stalactites and stalagmites. As you enter the caves in a boat classical music accompanies the experience. The acoustics of the caves plus the special lighting make the experience a must! In the afternoon, cruise towards the Bay of Pollensa (approx. 35 nm) and stay overnight in Cabo Formentor.
Day 6 - Puerto Soller Fishing Port
Cruise along the north coast to Puerto Soller (approx. 35 nm), one of the most picturesque fishing ports, and stay there overnight.
Day 7 - Coves On The Coastline Of Mallorca
Cruise along the northwest coast of Mallorca, which is without a doubt the island’s most impressive coastline. During the cruise we recommend a stopover in one of the many coves such as Puerto de Valldemossa, Cala Banyalbufar, etc. Then, continue cruising towards Puerto Andratx where the yacht will anchor overnight. Distance is approx. 27 nm.
Day 8 - Puerto Andratx Or Palma
Complete your luxury yacht charter with a cruise towards Palma (22 nm). For guests who need to catch a morning flight, they can exit the charter yacht in Puerto Andratx and take a take a taxi to the airport which takes about 45 minutes.
