Green Turtle Cay got it's name due to the abundance of green turtles in the area. This narrow island exudes the charm of an old New England fishing port, with its picturesque clapboard cottages and picket fences, and is known for its distinctive New England influenced architecture. 

The island offers a plethora of attractions, including pristine beaches and a wide range of shops, restaurants, and amenities. Don't miss the chance to visit the Albert Lowe Museum showcasing the history of The Abaco's settlers. It's worth noting, that the village closes down on Sundays, so plan your visit accordingly.

Man-O-War Cay is a quaint island with a deep history in boat building. Known as the boat building capital of The Bahamas, you can still find an abundance of boat builders producing anything from sailing dinghies to fiberglass boats.

With boat building tradition as its core, some of the most sought after center consoles can be found at the original Albury Brother’s Boat Yard which still stands today.

Hope Town

On the small remote island of Elbow Cay lives Hope Town. Constantly bustling with fun activities,  local shopping, great restaurants and bars, and community events, it is a no-brainer why Hope Town is commonly referred to as  “Hollywood.”

Over the years, Hope Town has become a very sought-after vacation spot because of its ability to attract large crowds throughout the year with its various number of large scale events.

You'll have to ditch the car as motor vehicles are forbidden with in the town center. Distinguished by the picturesque pastel-colored wooden homes and architecture, many of the houses and shops in Hope Town are over 200 years old!

One of the most notable landmarks is the Elbow Reef Lighthouse. This iconic candy-striped lighthouse is the last kerosene burning manually operated lighthouse in the world. The Elbow Reef Lighthouse is often regarded as the identity of the island and is beloved and known to many, including Jimmy Buffet who often made trips to Abaco while writing one of his books. For those who are willing to walk the 101 steps to the top of the Lighthouse, they will be rewarded with great views of the Islands surrounding Hope Town and a small museum dedicated to this integral part of Bahamian culture.

The Johnston Art Gallery & Foundry is a must-visit stop and a little piece of history in Little Harbour. In 1952 the Johnston family sailed into Little Harbour and never looked back! They embraced island life to the fullest and even lived in a cave for a while. Their artistry has endured through the years, with the family carrying on the art legacy to this day. 

If you are looking for the quintessential out island bar then  Pete’s Pub is your place. This cherished establishment embodies the true essence of island living. Picture a bar without walls and sandy floors that invites you to kick off your shoes. Add in a touch of mystery with jars of "bush medicine" - a concoction best consumed at your own risk.
