To many Caribbean aficionados, Antigua is the ultimate island getaway for a fun and relaxing break. It offers relaxed, barefoot chic at plush beachfront restaurants alongside five-star resorts and remote anchorages that give you a distinct ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ feeling.
USVI yacht charter
The US Virgin Islands offers the archetypal Caribbean charter experience in St Thomas, St Croix and St John. Find tranquility in a remote anchorage, hike lush mountain ranges or head into town to enjoy calypso rhythms and a night at the casino.
As an insular area of the United States, the US Virgin Islands are a practical and convenient location to start a Leeward Islands yacht charter. The most developed of the four islands, St Thomas, offers a perfect choice for embarkation; the Cyril E King International Airport is well supplied with commercial flights and regularly receives private jets. It is also well serviced by a number of superyacht marinas.

Protected Paradise / St John
St John is less developed than neighbouring St Thomas, thanks to the fact that 60 per cent of the island is designated as national park. Head up to the lush green hills for some beautiful trail hikes, taking in the sugar plantation ruins, Arawak petroglyphs and stunning waterfalls. Superyachts will need to keep their distance from the shoreline and the protected reefs, by anchoring in deep water; but an invigorating tender ride adds to the adventure of any visit ashore.
Fisherman's Friends / St Croix
The island of St Croix to the south of the US Virgin Islands has some fantastic deep see fishing options, not to mention great diving and snorkelling for those who prefer to get into the water. The national park at Buck Island offers a great spot to anchor while the whole family heads off to follow an underwater snorkel trail.
Carnival Spirit / St Thomas
Nothing says Caribbean spirit like the Carnival. St Thomas has a particularly vibrant festival that stretches out over a number of weeks starting in April. Take to the streets and enjoy the colourful costumes, traditional food and calypso dancing in the day, and the revelry will continue well into the night.
