Capri yacht charter
A popular resort since the Roman times, the island of Capri is located on the south side of the Gulf of Naples, off the Sorrentine Peninsula, 5km from the mainland. Marina Piccola And Marina Grande
Features of the island include the aptly named Marina Piccola or ‘little harbour’ situated on the south side of the island. The main harbour of the island is the Marina Grande, located on the north coast and has berths for yacht charters in the harbour with anchorage further out in the bay during high season.
The Blue Grotto
Capri’s single most famous attraction is the Grotta Azzurra, a stunning sea cave illuminated by an ethereal blue light and easily accessible on a yacht charter. Sunlight enters through a small underwater aperture and is refracted through the water; this, combined with the reflection of the light off the white sandy seafloor, produces the vivid blue effect to which the cave owes its name and it is a magical place to swim.
By Foot, By Rail And By Yacht
Spend some time on land as there are plenty of walks to enjoy in the Capri countryside. A dramatic funicular railway also connects the harbour and the mountain town of Anacapri. Visitors can spend hours shopping or exploring the town’s quaint streets and enjoying the spectacular views before returning to the harbour and their Italian yacht charter itinerary at the end of the day.
