HOTSPOTS AROUND CANNES
ILES DE LÉRINS
The "Iles de Lérins" is a small archipelago off the coast of Cannes. The two main islands are Ste-Marguerite and St-Honorat. Ste-Marguerite is a wild beauty where nature, culture and relaxation join in total harmony. Just a few steps ashore, find yourself captured by scents of pine and eucalyptus, whilst St Honorat will enchant you with its fortress and Abbey.
Anchoring off these islands also provides shelter in an ideal location for a day enjoying your yacht's water toys in the Bay of Cannes.
LA NAPOULE BAY
Yachting in the Bay of La Napoule will show you a wilder side of the French Riviera, with its unique geological setting beneath the Esterel Mountain Massif, famous for its red cliffs.
Enjoy views of Saint Peyre Hill and its volcanic cone, active 250 million years ago. Saint Peyre Hill was used by the Phoenicians to observe the bay and Roman presence has also been established.
La Napoule offers excellent marinas and an accessible alternative embarkation port to Cannes, especially useful for the Mandelieu private jet airport just minutes away.
CAP D'ANTIBES
The great novelist Graham Greene lived in Antibes for 20 years and considered it a place which had preserved its soul. The old town of Antibes boasts one of the finest Provençal markets and one of the world's best Picasso collections in its seafront castle.
The southern end of the Cap d'Antibes and its pine woods boast some of the most exclusive mansions on the Riviera. Juan les Pins, just a hop away, offers beach restaurants accessible by tender and a number of nightclubs as well as the famous Jazz a Juan festival held every July.
