Picchiotti Yachts was bought by the Perini Navi Group in the early 1990’s and reintroduced as a brand under a new series of motor yachts called Vitruvius in 2007. Picchiotti is a historic Italian shipyard which was founded in the 1600’s at Limite sull-Arno, which later moved to Viareggio. Having produced a variety of vessels including wooden sailing boats, steel battleships and speedboats, the Picchiotti shipyard nowadays is also well known for producing leisure motor yachts.
 
Picchiotti have produced many famous boats including the 15 metre Esperia built in 1905, the 36.5 metre Kon Tiki built in 1947, the 10 metre Giglio series, and the 14.5 metre Giannutri series.
