The idea behind Alloy Yachts began in New Zealand in the early 1980’s when a group of boat builders came together with the ambitious project to build an aluminium yacht 28 metres long. Within two years Alloy Yachts was formed and it has gone from strength to strength ever since. The company builds all its luxury sailing and motor yachts based around its core principles which are craftsmanship, engineering excellence and seaworthiness. These values coupled with the companies passion for the yachts that they build has seen Alloy Yachts become internationally recognised and many of their yachts have won awards for their design, quality and innovation
A crucial factor in Alloy Yachts success lies in the fact that many of the original team from the very first Alloy Yachts project, completed in 1985, remain as key members of the company today. Tony Hambrook, who started out as the production manager, has played an extremely significant role in the expansion of the company since his promotion to managing director in 1989 and has helped to maintain the company’s core values whilst driving it forwards and pushing the boundaries of yacht building.
Alloy Yachts quality and reliability means that they are trusted the world over by yacht owners, captains and crew alike.
